NIKE RUNNING has launched a unique, you could say ‘very Japanese’, campaign, ‘RUN LIKE ME’ in Japan.
1 Like will be counted as 100 metres. As the page collects Likes from users, a guy called Joseph dressed in sport gear with rather silly ‘bits and bobs’ including an iPad and camera will run the distance earned (in Tokyo only I would think?). So far he has run 3.3 km. I saw a comment like ‘I expected you to run more when I voted’ — Hmm : (
Here’s a promo video of this campaign.
NIKE RUN LIKE ME PROMO VIDEO
You see what I mean about Joseph. He portrayed as a most ‘typical Japanified western man in Japan with lots of Japanese friends’. Poor Joseph says, ‘You must be wondering why I do this. It’s because I just love internet and the LUNARGLIDE+ 4.
By the way I didn’t join this campaign just so he can save my 100 metres, give poor Joseph some rest.
Thanks,
Kana & The JAPAN BUZZ Team
